We have an old swamp cooler(at least 25 years old) that we run outside because when its 110 degrees outside and you are bbqing, it gets hot! The swamp cooler we have isnt even made anymore. Its quite effective in sending out cold air burst. I love the fact that it doesnt exhaust hot air anywhere because it doesnt have a vent. The problem I have with it, is that its super bulky, super old, and loud! It sounds like an airplane is taking off over our house. The other issue is that you constantly have to feed it cold water to keep it cooling. The other issue is that it causes our electric bill to go up quite a bit cause its so old and not energy efficient. Cleaning it can be a challenge from time to time. We clean it once a month but other than that it works. I just wish I could get one that is quieter, more efficient in energy and doesnt take up 1/4 of our deck!
